RENSSELAER FALLS -- A Lisbon man has been charged with unlawful imprisonment and violating an order of protection in connection with two domestic incidents.
St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies say Mitchel A. Calkins, 18, of 6368 Cty Rt. 10 in Lisbon is accused of misdemeanor count of unlawful imprisonment second degree and criminal contempt second degree.
Deputies say Calkins held his girlfriend against her will in her own room during a domestic argument at a residence on Heuvelton Road, Rensselaer Falls on July 9, and would not let her leave until her family arrived.
Calkins then allegedly violated an order of protection when he showed up at the girlfriend's house on July 20.
Calkins was arraigned on both counts before Canton Town Judge O'Horo and was ordered held in lieu of $500.
Deputies say Calkins faces further charges in Canton Town Court at a later date.
