CANTON – A Lisbon man has been arrested according to a sheriff's department press release in connection to him filing incorrect information while attempting to acquire a pistol permit.
Lloyd S. Parmeter, 38, 25 CR 31A, was charged with second-degree offering a false instrument for filing, deputies said.
Police said Parmeter signed his name Feb. 2 on the application and had the application notarized stating he had never been arrested, when in fact he has been arrested before.
He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Canton Town Court at a later date, deputies said.
