LISBON -- The Lisbon library now has four laptops available for patron use.

Each laptop has wireless internet access and as well as a set of headphones.

The laptops are installed with Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Microsoft Internet Explorer web browsers.

The computers also have Microsoft Open Office Suite, which allows for word processing and spreadsheet capabilities, according to the announcement.

Patrons interested in using the new devices must agree to the library's terms of use in addition to the regular computer user policy available at the circulation desk. Additional regulations include:

• Users must be at least fifteen 15 years old

• Users must present a NCLS library card, and be in good standing at all NCLS libraries

• Users may only use the laptop on the second floor of the library

• Users may not change the settings/preferences, download new applications, install software/add-ons, create bookmarks/favorites, or save personal documents photos to the laptop.

• Any violation of the policy will result in suspension of computer privileges.
