A low pressure area will continue to cause light rain or even snow in higher elevations along with colder temperatures in the North Country today.

Breezy winds and unseasonably cold temperatures will rein today, although the low pressure system is expected to "finally" move away from the region Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Although skies are expected to clear tonight and winds to decrease, areas of patchy frost will remain possible in some areas, the service says.

Sunny conditions, with warmer temperatures in the 60s and 70s are expected Monday and Tuesday, before the return of thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday, says the service.
