The National Weather Service (NWS) says St. Lawrence County is in for large weather changes over the next week with windy warm weather, scattered showers and a cold front with possible snow showers in the forecast.

Today will be warm and windy with scattered showers possible throughout St. Lawrence County through Friday, the service says. Highs are expected to be near near 64 with winds of 13 to 19 mph this morning.

Winds will pick up this afternoon increasing to 19 to 24 mph with gusts as high as 37 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Showers are likely on Friday with temps around 61. Friday night showers will taper off and overnight lows will be near 35, the service says.

A cold front will bring cooler weather to the North Country on Saturday along with a chance of snow shower, NWS says.

A cold front will blast through the region Saturday night resulting in much cooler temps for Sunday. Light accumulations of snow are possible Saturday.
