Lake effect snow showers are expected this evening through the early overnight in southern St. Lawrence County, according to a hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service.

The snow will bring a light coating of accumulation, mainly along the Route 3 corridor making slippery travel possible. In the northern part of St. Lawrence County, light snow is expected to be mixed with main.
