High temperatures will generally be in the 40s today with unsettled weather expected for the upcoming work week with lake effect showers moving into the area on Monday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

This will be followed by a trough of low pressure Tuesday into Wednesday that will bring more widespread showers to the region, NWS says.

Below normal temperatures will continue through much of the upcoming week as well, the service says.

Highs today will be around 45 with a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 2 p.m., NWS says. Tonight the low will be around 39.

Showers are likely Tuesday with a high near 46 with mostly cloudy skies. The chance of rain is 60 percent with between a tenth and a quarter of an inch possible.
