HANNAWA FALLS -- Helping Hands volunteers received a donation of turkeys from Kunoco Food Marts.

The turkeys will be used for the Community Christmas Dinner being served at Helping Hands, 5868 State Highway 56, on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at noon.

The dinner is free and open to the public.

Helping Hands serves a free lunch Monday through Thursday at 12 noon.

"We are very thankful for the generous financial support of Saint Lawrence County residents who consistently respond to our holiday fund drive and quarterly newsletters,” said Tom Chappell, executive director of Helping Hands.

“Your help allows us to keep over 700 local families warm, fed, and provides help with electricity, car repairs, home furnishings, even firewood and of course a daily noon meal is served Monday through Thursday." he said.
