POTSDAM -- The Knitting Group at The First Presbyterian Church of Potsdam are sponsoring a sweater and blanket collection for the Malawi Crisis Nursery in Malawi, Africa and invite the community to join in the effort.
The Crisis Nursery cares for infants to two year olds whose family is unable to care for them due to death or illness.
Sweaters should be size 0-2 years and blankets needed are infant to crib size.
Items will be collected at the First Presbyterian Church, corner of Elm St. and Lawrence Avenue, and also at Misty Hollow, 22 Market St.
Items will be mailed out in April, just before Africa’s cold season. Some donated yarn is available.
