GOUVERNEUR – Kinney Drugs was recently recognized as the number one pharmacy chain in the country for their patient medication adherence performance in 2015.

This recognition is part of the performance program by CVS Caremark, the prescription benefit management business of CVS Health, which focuses on driving improvements in medication safety and adherence and improving health outcomes of each patient.

Kinney Drugs, an employee-owned company based in Gouverneur, has been providing pharmacy and health care services for over 112 years. In St. Lawrence County, they operate stores in Massena, Ogdensburg, Canton, Potsdam and Gouverneur, as well as administrative and distribution operations in Gouverneur.

In their 100 drug store locations in New York and Vermont, pharmacy teams offer personalized systems such as medication synchronization, automatic prescription refills, medication therapy management, blood pressure screenings, diabetes management programs and home prescription delivery.
