GOUVERNEUR -- The Kinney Drugs Foundation has made a $250,000 pledge over five years to support Gouverneur-based E.J. Noble Hospital’s capital project for expansion and modernization of the hospital, patient care units and clinical services.
Kinney Drugs Chairman and CEO Craig Painter said he was proud the foundation was supporting “this much-needed project at E.J. Noble Hospital.”
The foundation’s pledge is the largest made to the project. The first phase of construction will consist of a new 33 bed medical/surgical unit in a two-floor, 32,000 square foot addition directly west of the Physician Office Building. It will house a new patient care area, three pediatric beds, a three-bed intensive care unit, and new respiratory therapy, physical therapy and pharmacy departments.
The building program includes renovating the first floor to meet the needs of the laboratory, radiology and social services.
