HANNAWA FALLS -- Donations are being sought to help offset costs for a two-and-a-half month old Hannawa Falls girl, who has failed to gain weight since birth but whose diagnosis remains unclear.
Mattilynn Lindsey, daughter of Matthew and Brittany Lindsey, is being treated at Fletcher Allen Medical Center, Burlington, Vt.
Mattilynn is losing weight at a rapid pace. She was admitted to the hospital Thursday and has received two blood transfusions.
Doctors are still trying to identify what is causing her condition and were expected to perform a bone marrow biopsy today.
To help offset medical costs for the family, Chrissy Ayers Gilson created a donation page on gofundme.com To donate to the family, click here.
“They have been testing her for different viruses. All of the test results have come back negative, including one for leukemia. With no positive results from changing the way she is eating, losing weight, or the blood transfusion, her counts are still very low. At this point the team of doctors has mentioned a feeding tube,” Gilson said of Mattilynn’s condition.
“With her medical treatment being uncertain, and no known cause of why this is happening, any size donation that is made is greatly appreciated,” Gilson said.
