POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Recreation Department is now renting kayaks at Postwood and Sandstoner parks during normal beach hours from 11 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. They must be used at the beaches.

Kayaking equipment was received by the St. Lawrence County  Health Initiative's Creating Healthy Places Project, a grant funded by the New York State Department of Health.

Cost is $5 for a two-hour time slot.

Children ages 10-13 must be accompanied by an adult and ages 14-17 must have a parental permission form filled out.
