POTSDAM -- Actor and entrepreneur John Ratzenberger will speak at Clarkson University during alumni reunion weekend July 11 to July 14.
Ratzenberger’s speech will be Saturday, July 13 at 1:30 p.m. in the student center forum. He will discuss the prevention of a national crisis brought on by manufacturing problems and how to foster a turnaround through education, entrepreneurship and job creation.
An entrepreneur and philanthropist, Ratzenberger is an outspoken advocate for American-made products and the companies that keep Americans working.
Ratzenberger gained international fame as the character Cliff in the NBC show "Cheers" and has lent his voice to numerous Disney/Pixar animated films, including the “Toy Story” franchise, “Wall-E,” “A Bug’s Life,” “Finding Nemo,” “The Incredibles” and “Up.”
He also produced and hosted the Travel Channel show “Made in America.”
