CANTON -- A St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility inmate is charged with attempting to smuggle tobacco and subxone at the jail.
Joseph M. Hutchinson, 28, was charged with promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a controlled substance July 1.
St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies said the items were found on Hutchinson when he was being processed at the jail.
He was issued appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date.
