High pressure will remain as the controlling weather feature across Northern New York during the next 5 to 7 days with highs in the 80s likely each day, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Hurricane Jose will remain south of Northern New York, with no real threat of precipitation, NWS says. Otherwise, conditions are expected to remain dry with temperatures well above seasonal averages for mid to late September.
Highs today will be near 82 with mostly sunny skies. An overnight low around 62 is expected, the service says.
Forecasters expect highs of 81 in St. Lawrence County Wednesday with light winds of 5 to 9 miles per hour.
Warm, dry weather is in the forecast through the extended forecast into next Monday. The forecast is as follows:
