Hundreds attend Lisbon lawn mower races; winning racers announced

LISBON -- Hundreds turned out for the Lisbon Lawn Mower races at the fireman's field Sunday.

The event was sponsored by Lisbon Volunteer Fire Department with help from the American Lawn Mower Racing Association.

All proceeds from concessions and admission benefited the department.

The event featured five classes ranging from Juniors to Pro-Modified.

Winning racers were as follows:

Juniors: first place Kirsten Conte, second place Owen Phillips, third place Scott Murphy.

Super Stock: first place Trevor Mall, second place Thomas Clark, third place Rodney Roberts.

Pro Stock: first place Treveau Mall, second place Dale Tucker, third place Jason Conte.

Sportsman: first place Scott Menewy, second place Pat Mcgee, third place Ken Denny.

Pro Mod: first place Dereck Ellsworth, second place Sean Castle, third place Devon Furnace.

Races continue at 1 p.m. Saturday June 16 at School Street field, Brier Hill. Admission is $3.
