During October, Todd Truax of B99.3 Radio coordinated the Hugs for Hospice Campaign, helping to raise nearly $1,300 to support the patients and families cared for by Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
Truax made eight stops throughout the North Country with Hospice staff and gave hugs for donations to Hospice.
Truax presented the donations during the 6th Annual Radiothon on Nov. 6.
“We are very grateful to Todd for coming up with this wonderful concept and to B99.3 for supporting him in raising money for Hospice, said .Hospice Executive Director Brian Gardam.
“It wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the businesses who hosted Hugs for Hospice and to the community who so generously supported us through this great campaign,” he said. “Our staff thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the community in this special way.”
