An unseasonably warm and dry weather pattern has settled in and will persist across the North Country through the next seven days, according to the National Weather Service.

That means high temperatures through the period will average 10 to 15 degrees above normal.

No significant rainfall is expected over the next few days, but an upper level disturbance may bring a few showers to the region late Wednesday night into Thursday.

Right now skies are partly cloudy, there’s a breeze from the west and it’s muggy in the St. Lawrence Valley with temperatures in the upper 70s and dewpoints in the mid 60s.

It will be quiet tonight, the NWS says, with skies clearing and winds subsiding overnight. Lows will be in the low 60s. Some areas may see fog development in some valley locations.

Highs Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to nudge 90 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
