PARISHVILLE -- Members of the Parishville AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Post #265 presented Kellie Hitchman, Director of Development and Community Relations for Hospice with some of the proceeds from their annual Walk-A-Thon Sept. 17.
“Money raised at community events such as this directly supports services provided to patients and their families”. Hitchman said.
Over the course of the past 13 years, the Ladies Auxiliary has donated nearly $10,000 to Hospice.
“We try to recruit a contingency of Hospice staff and supporters to walk each year,” she said. “It’s wonderful to participate with people who have experienced our services and learn their story. Each experience is different and we are very grateful to touch the lives of so many people when they need us most.”
