HOPKINTON -- The Town of Hopkinton is looking for at least two residents to serve on its Wind Advisory Board.
Former member Steve Hopkins decided not to be reappointed after his term was up and John Niles resigned, according to Town Supervisor Susan Wood.
Member Dick Powers sent Wood a letter stating that he may need to resign due to medical issues.
Jody Wentzel and Mary Jane Toomey remain on the board.
“I have a couple names that have expressed interest but I have not forwarded them to the board yet,” Wood said.
Anyone with an interest in serving or those who have questions can contact Wood at swood@nnymail.com.
“The request will remain open until we get a full slate again (5 full and 1 alternate),” Wood said. “The town board will vote on each person and go from there.”
Avangrid Renewables plans to construct 40 500-foot wind towers in Hopkinton and Parishville.
