HOPKINTON -- A Hopkinton man has been charged with promoting prostitution and tampering with evidence.
Dean M. Lamphere, 60, was charged Monday morning with two felonies, one count of third-degree promoting prostitution and a count of tampering with physical evidence after state police executed search warrants at his home and his business, Lamphere’s General Trucking and Repair, State Rt. 11B, Hopkinton.
The New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit and the St Lawrence District Attorney’s Office participated in the investigation.
Lamphere was arraigned in Town of Massena Court and was committed to St Lawrence County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.
Troopers said their investigation began May 17.
