CANTON – Honey Dew Acres will host an Aug. 15 event featuring bounce houses, carnival games, pony rides and more to benefit the the St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund.
The "Help Sami Kick Cancer" event is named after Sami Curtis, 16, of Canton, who has had a malignant brain tumor removed.
Her employer, Peggy McAdam of Honey Dew Acres, is hosting the fundraiser in her honor.
The proceeds will go to the St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund of which Sami has been an active board member since she was 13 years old.
Events at Honey Dew, 169 Post Rd., include a horse show at 9 a.m., bounce houses, carnival games, pony rides, wagon rides, raffles and more. Music will be provided by Rob Larrabee at noon, the Buckskins at 2 p.m. and the Waydown Wailers at 4 p.m.
