MASSENA -- A severe thunderstorm caused massive damage in Massena Wednesday night.

Vehicles and homes were damaged by fallen branches and uprooted trees. Sidewalks were also damaged as tree roots pushed concrete pads from the ground.

Power was knocked out for many residents and some stores including Walmart, according to reports from viewers.

This video captured by John Michaud shows torrential rains, high winds and lightening brought by the storm.

"I watched the fire department trucks go out after I filmed this as best as I could," Michaud said. "It was a doozy."
