Home-built composting toilets are featured in the next edition of Peak Moment on WCKN, cable channel 30, at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 and 26.
Host Janaia Donaldson joins Laura Allen for a look at the implement in her Bay Area urban home. The nutrient-rich composted “humanure” is used to enrich the soil, and doesn’t waste water like flush toilets.
The Peak Moment programs air every week, exploring positive responses to energy decline and climate change through local community action. The programs are underwritten locally by The Center for Excellence in Communication at Clarkson University and the Seymour Family of Potsdam.
Video and audio versions of all the programs are available at www.wordpress.peakmoment.tv/conversations/.
