The second annual Hogs for Humanity raised $3,300 in monetary donations and over $100 in various raffle items. Proceeds from this event benefited local neighborhood centers and food pantries once again.
It was a brisk, bright, September day when 100 motorcycles and 48 passengers hit the roads of St. Lawrence County in support of local neighborhood centers and food pantries. The Hogs said they were grateful to supportive sponsors, including The Ole Smokehouse, The Cedar Lodge, J.C. River Run Bar & Grill, the Club, Woody’s Snack Shack, Northern Abstract Corporation, Ron & June O’Neill, Parker Line Striping Inc., Wyatt Boswell Construction, Great Northern Printing, Spears Painting, Main Street Builders, Alpine Seeding Company, Ray Burn’s & Sons Trucking, Mr. Ding-A-Ling, MJ & T Trash Removal, Harold & Connie Villnave, North County Savings Bank, Foster’s Collision, Talking Trash, Lone Wolf Saloon and VFW Post #1194.
The Hogs for Humanity also thanked those who donated gift certificates and other items to be raffled; Adirondack Canoe & Kayak, Cindy Lashomb, Robin Belovich, Community Bank, the Club, Foster’s Collision, The Body Shop, Tonya Young, Debra Scott, Bob & Patty Phillips, Parker Maple Farm, The Ole Smokehosue, Shear Creations, Mirror Reflections, Harvey’s Roadside Market, Chilly Delight, Shawn Thorton and Karen O’Brien.
They also expressed thanks to the motorcycle riders that braved the cold and made this event a success once again. The third annual Hogs for Humanity is planned for Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015.
