MASSENA – A Hogansburg woman was jailed on felony possession of drug charges after officers allegedly found 25 Percocet pills in a clear plastic bag secreted underneath her clothes.
Troopers charged Elisha M. Thompson, 24, with criminal possession of a controlled substance/narcotics after they were called by U.S. Customs and Border Protection at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to conduct a secondary inspection on her vehicle at the International Bridge Road Port of Entry into the U.S.
Thompson did not possess a legal prescription for the pills, police said.
She was arraigned in Massena Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond, polcie said.
Thompson is scheduled to reappear in the Massena Town Court on April 8.
