Updated 11:08 a.m. Oct. 23 to correct erroneous report on the weight from state police.
A Hogansburg man is charged with having 4.1 pounds of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop, according to state police.
Rourke was pulled over in Pamelia for going 93 mph in a 65 mph zone, according to state police.
The trooper who pulled him over “detected a strong odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle,” according to state police.
Rourke consented to a search, which allegedly yielded a gym bag with over 41 pounds of the plant.
Police say Rourke was also wanted on a separate warrant out of Franklin County.
He was arraigned in Pamelia Town Court and remanded to the Jefferson County jail, Watertown, in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond and is awaiting further court action, police said.
