Friday night and early Saturday morning may set record low temperatures.
The National Weather Service is calling for lows on Friday night to hit 12 degrees in Canton, 13 degrees in Gouverneur and 15 degrees in Massena.
The historic record lows for Nov. 10 are 12 degrees in Canton in 1991, 12 degrees in Gouverneur in 2003 and 13 degrees in Massena in 1991.
Historic low temperatures for Nov. 11 were all set in 1957 - 10 degrees in Canton, 9 degrees in Gouverneur and 11 degree in Massena.
The historical data comes from the National Weather Service.
Elsewhere in St. Lawrence County, Friday night temperatures are expected to drop to 15 degrees in Ogdensburg, 14 degrees in Potsdam and 8 degrees in the Star Lake area, meteorologists said.
Thursday night could bring rain and snow showers with temperatures in the mid-teens, according the NWS.
The detailed forecast for the Potsdam area:
Wednesday night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 27. South wind 3 to 7 mph.
Thursday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 47. South wind 7 to 13 mph.
Thursday night - Rain showers before midnight, then a chance of rain and snow showers between midnight and 1 a.m., then a slight chance of snow showers after 1am. Low around 19. Breezy, with a southwest wind 14 to 20 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Friday - Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 25. West wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
Friday night - Mostly clear, with a low around 14. West wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
Veterans Day (Saturday) - Mostly sunny, with a high near 34. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning.
Saturday night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Light southeast wind.
Sunday - A 30 percent chance of light rain after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Southeast wind around 6 mph.
Sunday night - A 50 percent chance of light snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Monday - A chance of snow before 10am, then a chance of rain between 10am and 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 43. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Monday Night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Light and variable wind.
Tuesday - Partly sunny, with a high near 43. Light and variable wind.
