Winds that could potentially gust at 40 mph have St. Lawrence County under a hazardous weather outlook through Friday, the National Weather Service says.

Despite the winds, Ogdensburg, Canton and Gouverneur should see clear skies today and Friday. Temperatures tonight could get into the high-40s in those areas. That should rise to the low 60s on Friday.

Massena, Potsdam and Star Lake have a 20 percent chance of precipitation this afternoon, according to forecasters. That should give way to weather tonight similar to what is projected in other areas of the county.

On Saturday, Massena, Canton, Potsdam and Ogdesnburg are looking at a 40 percent chance of rain during the day with temperatures around 60. Star Lake and Gouverneur are looking at a 50 percent chance.

All areas of the county have a 60 percent chance of rain on Saturday night with temperatures in the low 40s, meteorologists say.

Clear skies should return on Sunday, with temperatures around 60 and few degrees cooler in the mountain, the NWS says.

The extended forecast for Massena:
