Well, if you thought yesterday's Christmas was a warm one in St. Lawrence County, it didn't even come close to breaking the record of 61 degrees set in 1982, according to The Weather Underground.

The high for Christmas this year reached 48 degrees with a low of 35 in Potsdam, Weather Underground said. Massena reportedly saw a high of 42 and low of 35 degrees.

The reading of 42 degrees was recorded at the official National Weather Station at Massena's Richards Field.

The record low in St. Lawrence County reportedly dipped down to -28 degrees in 1980.

The average temperature for Christmas in St. Lawrence County is 18 degrees.

Much of the Christmas Eve and Christmas day saw rain and generally overcast skies. The rain eliminated much of the snow in the county.

The forecast for today is mostly cloudy with a high near 42 and winds around 17 mph, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

There is a slight chance of rain or snow showers between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m., then a slight chance of snow showers after 2 a.m. Lows will be around 31 degrees with a 20 percent chance of precipitation.
