High of 20 degrees in St. Lawrence County, but wind chill warning remains in effect tonight as temperatures drop quickly

Warm temperatures will quickly give way to freezing temperatures as today's high of 21 degrees is expected to fall to -20 degrees Sunday.

Today the Nation Weather Service is calling for up to two inches of snow. A windchill warning will take effect as winds pick up tonight and temperatures drop to -5 degrees.

A seven day forecast follows:

Today: Snow showers. High near 21. Northeast wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Tonight: Snow showers likely, mainly before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around -5. Wind chill values as low as -21. North wind 13 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of snow showers before 8am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny and cold, with a temperature falling to around -9 by 3pm. Wind chill values as low as -30. Northwest wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around -20. Wind chill values as low as -41. Northwest wind 9 to 11 mph.

Washington's Birthday: Sunny and cold, with a high near 2. West wind 8 to 11 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around -8. South wind around 8 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 16. South wind 8 to 10 mph.

Tuesday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 7. South wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm after midnight.
