MORRISTOWN — A Heuvelton man was killed Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle on County Route 6, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Mitchell D. Heimbach, 18, allegedly entered the roadway from a driveway and was struck by a vehicle driven by Ellen M. Amyot, 77, Hammond, officers said.
Heimback was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner June Wood, deputies said.
Morristown and Brier Hill Fire Departments, along with Morristown Rescue and Ogdensburg Rescue were on scene, as were state police.
Deputies said there is an ongoing investigation.
