DEPEYSTER -- A Heuvelton man has been arrested for felony drunk driving and six other charges after state troopers say he left the scene of a property damage accident on Saturday evening while he was intoxicated.
Brenton J. Decker, 29, was charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, second-degree harassment, unsafe movement of stopped motor vehicle, failed to stop at stop sign, refusal to take breath test and unsafe backing, police said.
The DWI was elevated to a felony because he has a previous conviction for the charge within the last 10 years.
Decker was taken into custody at 9:50 p.m. Saturday at 1783 State Route 184 in the Town of Oswegatchie, police said.
