CANTON – A Hermon woman has won a carved wooden bear for participating in the National Technical Honor Society at the Seaway Career and Technical Education Center fundraiser to support the White family from Canton.
Two-year-old Oliver White has been diagnosed with leukemia. A total of $763 was raised through a raffle for the bear carved by Terry McKendree.
The lucky winner was the Jeanne LaPoint, shown with her prize.
The National Technical Honor Society is a service organization consisting of 29 members with the mission of service to others, honoring student achievement and leadership, promoting educational excellence, and enhancing career opportunities for the NTHS membership.
