CANTON — A Hermon man was jailed on $5,000 bail after he allegedly had a sexual relationship with a person under 17 years old.
Michael C. Besaw, 23, was charged with third-degree rape, a felony, for an alleged incident involving a person younger than 17 when he was older than 21.
Besaw was also charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child under the age of 17, a misdemeanor.
Canton-based state police reported the incident occurred Jan. 29.
Besaw was charged Feb. 19, at 4:15 p.m.
He was sent to St. Lawrence County Correctional facility on $5,000 bail.
