POTSDAM -- Health Services of Northern New York, 56 Market St., is offering level-two personal care aide training starting Feb. 14.
Participants are selected through interviews. The 40 hours of training is held over two weeks. Participants learn the basics of home care including meal preparation and patient grooming, transfers, safety, and nutrition.
Director of Clinical Services Sheri Chapman says new staff members will allow HSNNY to accommodate more patients throughout the county.
Health Services of Northern New York says it employs about 200 people in St. Lawrence County including registered nurses, social workers, physical therapists, nutritionists, and office staff.
