A hazardous weather outlook is in effect for St. Lawrence County, with light snow of one to three inches expected across the St. Lawrence Valley today, followed by periodically heavier precipitation Sunday.

Accumulations are expected to remain around one to three inches Sunday, but "could fall in a very short period of time" in small squalls, according to the National Weather Service.

"Bitterly cold" weather will likely move into the area on an arctic cold front Monday and remain through Friday, the service says. High temperatures are expected to hover just above zero, with lows of up to 15 degrees below zero.
