Winter seems to come and go as temperatures continue to fluctuate.
Temperatures are predicted to fall into the single digits tonight, rising again into the 30s before dropping off into the teens Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights, then popping up into the 30s again, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday, Friday night and Saturday, temperatures will stay in the 30s, but wind chills on Friday could get down to below zero as winds increase to 15 to 18 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph.
The chance of snow doesn't rise above about 40 percent through Saturday, and no significant accumulations are anticipated. Some sun is expected today and on Monday, but cloudy skies will dominate through the middle of next week.
The NWS forecast for the St. Lawrence Valley and northwestern Adirondacks:
This Afternoon: A chance of light snow, mainly after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 27. West wind between 7 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tonight: A slight chance of light snow before 7pm, then a slight chance of snow showers after 3am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 8. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Friday: A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 35. Wind chill values as low as -2. South wind 7 to 10 mph increasing to between 15 and 18 mph. Winds could gust as high as 28 to 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Friday Night: A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Southwest wind around 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Saturday: A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 36. West wind between 13 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Saturday Night: Cloudy, with a low around 13.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 23.
Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 12.
Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 29.
