OGDENSBURG — A Hammond woman was charged Monday following a forgery investigation first reported to state police Jan. 19.
Judy A. Streeter, 50, was charged with third-degree insurance fraud, felony, at 1:10 a.m. at the police station, 410 Cedar St.
Ms. Streeter forged an accident exchange form to obtain better insurance coverage. She had a car/deer accident on Jan. 8, then called Geico Insurance, modified her policy to obtain better coverage, then changed the date on her accident information exchange to Jan. 9.
State police did not immediately respond to requests for more information.
Her arrest status was listed as "held."
