Hammond woman charged with animal cruelty

HAMMOND -- Ogdensburg-based state troopers on Saturday charged a Hammond woman with three counts stemming from alleged mistreatment of animals.

Danielle M. Tuttle, 24, is facing two counts of torturing/injuring/not feeding and animal and one count of neglect of impounded animal. 

Troopers did not release specifics of the allegations against her.

She was taken into custody at 3:09 p.m. Saturday at 311 Lake St., Hammond.

Tuttle was released with appearance tickets.

All of the charges are misdemeanors and carry a maximum sentence of one year in local jail.
