HAMMOND -- A Hammond student faces a felony marijuana charge for allegedly selling pot to another teen, who was charged for possession, St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies say.
Deputies charged William S. Burns, 16, and Edward R. Bielby, 17, after school officials located marijuana inside a student’s locker.
Burns was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies say further investigation revealed he purchased the pot from Edward R. Bielby while riding the school buss.
Deputies said Burns was released on an appearance ticket and Bielby charged with second-degree criminal sale of marijuana, a class D felony.
He was released on probation supervision.
Deputies say additional arrests are possible and the incident remains under investigation
