MACOMB -- A Hammond man was jailed on several charges stemming from an investigation of two stolen pot-bellied pigs, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies.
Bradford A. Johnston, 49, was charged with tampering with physical evidence, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and second-degree obstructing governmental administration, deputies said.
Deputies said Johnston allegedly possessed the stolen animals at his residence and attempted to prove they were not stolen with an altered receipt.
He was arraigned in Macomb Town Court and held on $1,000 cash bail, officers said.
He will answer the charges at a later date, deputies said.
