HAMMOND – A home at 20 Arm Bay Rd. has been declared a total loss following an early morning fire today, according to St. Lawrence County fire investigators.
The Hammond Fire Department and Rescue Squad responded at 12:53 a.m. to the house owned and occupied by Jerry and Viva Cash, investigators said.
The Oxbow, Brier Hill and Gouverneur fire departments provided mutual aid. The Morristown and Redwood fire departments were on standby.
Cause of the fire has been determined to be electrical in nature, investigators said.
Hammond firefighters returned to the station at 3:40 a.m. The house was insured, investigators said.
