Scattered lake effect snow showers will continue across northern New York this weekend with near normal temperatures, near 20 today, around 10 tonight and into the low 20s Sunday, according to the forecast from the National Weather Service.

It will be windy with gusts up to 30 mph today, driving wind chills below zero.

A couple inches of snow accumulation will be possible across southern Saint Lawrence County and portions of the western Adirondacks with lighter snowfalls farther north.

Meterologists at the National Weather Service say the challenge for them today is watching the position of lake effect snow band and the potential for accumulating snowfall across southern Saint Lawrence County before it dissipates Sunday.
