OGDENSBURG -- Green Party congressional candidate Donald Hassig says Hoosier Magnetics should be shut down.

The Washington Street manufacturing company is a global provider of hard ferrite powders, which are used in the production of magnets.

In 2006 the company faced emissions violations from the Department of Environmental Conservation and in 2009 Hoosier was ordered to pay a $100,000 fine to St. Lawrence County.

Following the incident, the company sought help from the Industrial Development Agency, which put together a financing package to bring its emissions controlling equipment into line with state standards.

In a recent press release, Hassig, a Colton resident, said the company was a "heavy polluter" that "should be shutdown."

Hassig's campaign has focused primarily on environmental regulation reform.

It is time for the people of the United States to consider carefully whether or not they love the Earth. If an American man, woman or child feels the love of the Earth in her/his heart, then there is great work ahead. These are the days of degradation of life on Earth. Global climate change has already progressed to a dangerously far out of balance stage. Cancer rates are soaring. There is much suffering of all manner of environmental diseases. If we do not stop the bad corporate people from further harming the Earth, they will go on and totally ruin our home. The time to stop them is now.

All those who love the Earth, I am calling on all those Americans who love the Earth to rise up and bring an end to the abuse of the Earth by the bad corporate people. If you love the Earth, do you have thecourage to take action to protect her? You must ask yourself this question. Do you have the courage that it takes to stand up in the streets and say down with the corporate overlords? You can find that courage. It is inside you. Now is your time to take a stand and not back down. These are the days of great change coming. All of us rising up together is enough to bring an end to the old, corrupt ways. We can do this for the good of everything. We can do this now.

Only the greed driven corporate overlords are happy with this awful state of affairs. It is time for the good, strong people to rise up and bring an end to the corporate degradation of life on Earth. The only way to stop this degradation is to stop the corporations from doing harm. There are factories that are heavy polluters. Hoosier Magnetics, Inc. is a heavy polluter. Hoosier should be shut down. It is the responsibility of the good, strong people to shut Hoosier down.

All across the United States, oil and gas companies are fracking for oil and gas. It is the responsibility of the good, strong American people to stop the fracking corporations. The time has come to rise up and stop this.

We can stop the bad corporations from harming the Earth by simply gathering in large numbers in the streets. Once we start gathering in the streets our numbers will grow. We will bring the economy to a stand still. We will succeed in bringing about the downfall of the corrupt government. We will create a new government to replace the old, corrupt government. We will succeed because we must succeed.
