Green Party congressional candidate Donald Hassig plans two campaign stops in Potsdam and one in Ogdensburg in the next several days.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the 21st Congressional District candidate will be in the outdoor plaza south of the Barrington Student Union at SUNY Potsdam from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 12, he will be at New York Avenue Park, New York Avenue, Ogdensburg, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
And on Saturday, Sept. 22, he plans a “Green Party Revolution Open Mic” in Ives Park in Potsdam from 3 to 6 p.m.
“My campaign has two goals: building the Green Party in the St. Lawrence River Valley, the Lake Champlain Valley, the Hudson River Valley and the Adirondack Mountains; and sparking revolution in the United States. Both of these endeavors are of great importance to the future of America and the future of human existence on the Earth,” he said.
Hassig, an environmental and political activist from Colton and founder of Cancer Action NY, hopes to beat both incumbent Democrat Bill Owens of Plattsburgh and Republican Matt Doheny, a Watertown investor, in the race for the North Country district.
