CANTON -- The Canton Community Fund board of directors is encouraging representatives of non-profit groups and organizations in Canton to apply for grants.
Guidelines, as well as other information about the CCF, including how to make a donation, can be found at the CCF website, http://www.cantoncommunityfund.org.
At its July meeting, the CCF Board approved two grant requests: to the Canton Day Care Center, $2,000 for an architectural feasibility study of proposed expansion of its facilities; and to Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County, $1,500 toward a Master Food Preserver workshop at the Extension's Learning Farm in Canton.
This year, the CCF board has welcomed two new members, Mary Ann Ashley and Christopher Rediehs. Other board members are Barbara Beekman, Neal Burdick, John Casserly, JoAnn Pfeil, Dwight Stevenson, Louis Tremaine, Brett Thacher, Lenore Vanderzee and John Vose.
