GOUVERNEUR -- A Gouverneur woman was jailed Thursday for allegedly kicking a St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputy in the knee caps causing injury .
Jeana M. Ashley-Matott, 37, was charged with second-degree assault, felony, and disorderly conduct, officers said.
Deputies assisting Gouverneur village police break up a bar fight when the incident happened, police said.
She was arraigned in Gouverneur Town Court by Judge Young and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $1,000 bail, deputies said.
