GOUVERNEUR -- A Gouverneur woman is charged with two felonies after allegedly stealing a debit card and using it to make thousands of dollars in fraudulent purchases.
Sarah M. Kriplin, 28, was charged at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday with third-degree grand larceny and first-degree identity theft, both felonies, police said.
Between Nov. 24 and Jan. 6, she allegedly made $3,553.99 worth of purchases without consent of the card owner, police said.
She was arraigned by Gouverneur Town Justice Travis Dann and released under probationary supervision, polices said.
